Description

Tender-crisp summer squash tossed with zesty ranch seasoning and olive oil, air-fried to golden perfection. A savory, herbaceous side dish or snack packed with flavor and texture.

Ingredients

Scale

4 cups chopped summer squash (1.5 pounds)
1 tablespoon ranch seasoning
2 tablespoons olive oil
0.5 teaspoon thyme (optional)

Instructions

Wash and dry squash slices using a clean kitchen towel
In a large bowl, mix squash with ranch seasoning, olive oil, and thyme
Preheat air fryer to 380°F for 2 minutes; use parchment paper for easy cleanup
Spread squash in a single layer; cook 8-10 minutes until golden and lightly charred
Let cool 5 minutes before transferring to serving bowl

Notes

Blot squash with paper towels after washing for optimal texture
Spray air fryer basket with extra olive oil for even browning
Replace thyme with oregano or basil if using mild ranch seasoning
Pre-chop squash and refrigerate up to 24 hours for firmer results
Use 3-4 minute batches to avoid overcrowding the basket
