Description

A harmonious blend of sweet maple and sharp Dijon mustard glaze baked onto tender salmon. This crowd-pleasing dish is ready in 35 minutes with minimal effort—perfect for a flavorful, moisture-rich main course.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs salmon fillet (46 oz per fillet, skin on optional)
2 tbsp Dijon mustard (full-flavor preferred)
3 tbsp maple syrup (Grade B recommended)
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
2 garlic cloves (minced)
1 tsp salt (coarse sea salt)
1/2 tsp black pepper (freshly ground)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C)
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
In a bowl, blend Dijon mustard, maple syrup, olive oil, lemon juice, and minced garlic until smooth
Taste and adjust salt/pepper to balance sweetness and acidity
Place salmon fillets on prepared baking sheet
Brush glaze thoroughly over top and sides of fillets
Bake for 20–25 minutes, until glaze is caramelized and fish flakes easily with a fork

Notes

Skin-on salmon helps retain moisture during baking
Grade B maple syrup offers deeper flavor
For crisper glaze, brush sauce in all directions over the fillets
Test doneness with a fork—opposite side should flake but remain tender
