Description
Crispy baked turkey and cheese sliders filled with juicy ground turkey, tasty onion, and tangy mustard. Perfect for halal diets, these handheld meals deliver smoky richness and gooey texture without pork or alcohol.
Ingredients
Ground Turkey 300g (93% lean for moisture)
Bread Rolls 6 pieces (mini brioche or sourdough)
Cheese Slices 6 slices (cheddar or mozzarella)
Onion 1/4 cup (diced for caramelization)
Mustard 2 tbsp (Dijon or whole grain)
Instructions
Mix turkey, mustard, and diced onion until combined. Shape into 6 equal patties.
Heat oven to 375°F (190°C). Place rolls cut-side up on baking sheet; toast for 3 minutes.
Place turkey patties on parchment-lined tray. Bake 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway, until center reaches 165°F (74°C).
Place cheese slices on warm patties. Top each on toasted buns, then return to oven 3-5 minutes to melt cheese.
Notes
Cook turkey 3-5 minutes before baking to pre-sear surfaces for better browning.
Use room-temperature cheese slices to prevent rubbery melting.
Add a tsp alcohol-free Worcestershire sauce for umami depth.
Cover buns with parchment paper during final baking to prevent burning.
