Description

A flavorful baked salmon dish with a sweet and savory brown sugar garlic glaze, creating a golden crust and moist texture. Perfect for a balanced meal with minimal effort.

Ingredients

Scale

4 (6-ounce) salmon fillets (skin-on preferred)
¾ cup packed brown sugar (dark brown preferred)
10 cloves fresh garlic
¼ cup unsalted butter
2 medium lemons
Salt and pepper to taste
Coconut sugar (optional, for paleo)
Vegan butter (optional, for dairy-free)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
Rinse salmon fillets under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels
Season both sides of each fillet with salt and freshly ground pepper
In a small bowl, mix melted butter with minced garlic
Add brown sugar to the butter mixture, whisking until smooth
Using a brush, coat the salmon fillets evenly with the glaze
Place lemon slices (halved lengthwise) on top of the fillets
Bake for 20–25 minutes until salmon is flakes and glaze is caramelized

Notes

For best flavor, use wild-caught salmon
To prevent butter from burning, use clarified butter or vegan alternative
Lemon zest can be added to the glaze for extra brightness
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days
Ensure cooking time adjusts for thicker fillets
