Description

Juicy chicken skewers grilled to perfection with a sweet, tangy, and smoky glaze. The marinade blends honey, zesty lime, and chili flakes for a balanced flavor that shines at summer cookouts or quick dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

1.5 lbs chicken breasts (cut into 2-inch cubes)
2 large limes (fresh juice)
1/3 cup honey
1 tbsp chili flakes
2 tbsp olive oil
4 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tsp ground cumin (optional)
1 tsp sea salt (adjust to taste)

Instructions

Whisk olive oil, honey, lime juice, chili flakes, and garlic in a large bowl
Season chicken cubes with sea salt, pepper, and cumin
Add chicken to marinade and toss until coated
Refrigerate for 30 minutes
Thread chicken onto soaked wooden skewers, leaving 1/4-inch gaps
Brush skewers with remaining marinade and let sit at room temperature for 10 minutes
Preheat grill to medium-high heat
Grill skewers for 10-12 minutes, rotating and basting with reserved marinade, until chicken is charred and cooked through (internal temperature 165°F)

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes before assembling to prevent burning
Use chicken thighs for juicier results
Adjust chili flakes amount to control heat level
Reserve some marinade for basting to add smoky charred flavor
