Ingredients
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon dried parsley
¼ teaspoon garlic powder
⅛ teaspoon pepper
⅛ teaspoon onion powder
⅛ teaspoon paprika
¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 2 lbs)
1 tablespoon salted butter
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, stir together the salt, parsley, garlic powder, pepper, onion powder, and paprika. Season both sides of the chicken.
2. Pour the chicken broth into a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker and add the chicken breasts.
3. Cut the butter into small pieces and place on top.
4. Cover and cook on low for 3 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 165°F.
5. For clean slices, remove the chicken to a cutting board, cover, and rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
