Ingredients
2 lbs Boneless Chicken Breast
8 oz Cream Cheese, room temperature
0.5 cup Chicken Bone Broth
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tsp Onion Powder
1 tsp Dried Oregano
Salt and Black Pepper to taste
Instructions
Place the cleaned chicken breasts into the bottom of the slow cooker.
In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
Evenly sprinkle the seasoning blend over both sides of the chicken.
Pour the bone broth around the sides of the chicken to ensure the seasoning stays on the meat.
Place cubes of softened cream cheese on top of the seasoned chicken.
Cover and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
Once the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F, remove it from the cooker.
Whisk the leftover cream cheese and juices in the pot to create a smooth, creamy sauce before shredding or serving the chicken.
Notes
Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature to help it integrate into a smooth sauce. For a thicker consistency, you can whisk in a teaspoon of xanthan gum at the end. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
