Description
These smoky-sweet chicken skewers combine cajun spice, sticky hot honey glaze, and charred grill marks for a bold Creole flair. Perfect for backyard cookouts or quick meals.
Ingredients
1.5 lbs skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1.5” cubes
2 tbsp cajun seasoning (1 tbsp paprika, 1 tsp garlic powder, 0.5 tsp cayenne)
3 tbsp hot honey (2 tbsp honey + 1 tbsp sriracha)
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp olive oil (or avocado oil)
Instructions
In a bowl, combine chicken, cajun seasoning, garlic, and olive oil. Marinate 15+ minutes
Thread chicken onto metal skewers; alternate with cherry tomatoes or pineapple chunks if desired
Preheat grill to high heat. Cook skewers 5-7 minutes per side, basting with hot honey during final 2 minutes
Rest on wire rack 5 minutes. Brush remaining hot honey before serving
Notes
Use avocado oil for intense grilling
For extra char, inject chicken with rosemary-infused oil before skewering
Storage: Refrigerate cooked skewers up to 3 days
