Description
A single-pan casserole fusing tender chicken with a golden parmesan crust baked in garlic-butter. Easy and restaurant-style, this weeknight-friendly dish features a rich, savory flavor with no extra fat or complex steps.
Ingredients
4 (6 oz each) chicken breasts
1 cup grated parmesan
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup all-purpose flour (substitute almond flour for gluten-free)
1 tsp dried oregano
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper, freshly ground
Instructions
Line an 18×13-inch baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper until smooth.
In two shallow dishes, place flour (1st) and grated parmesan (2nd). Flatten chicken breasts to ½-inch thickness.
Spread half the garlic butter over chicken breasts. Dredge each in flour, shaking off excess, then press parmesan into the buttered side.
Arrange chicken breasts 2 inches apart on the baking sheet. Spread remaining garlic butter over the parmesan tops.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 30 minutes or until golden and internal temperature reaches 165°F.
Notes
Use parchment paper for easy cleanup.
Add fresh basil for a Mediterranean twist.
Melted parmesan acts as a natural sauce. Serve with sides like roasted vegetables or rice.
