Ingredients
6 oz oven-roasted turkey breast, sliced
12 thick-cut white bread slices (or sourdough)
2 oz sharp parmesan cheese, shredded
3/4 cup Mornay sauce (butter, flour, milk, parmesan)
1 tsp paprika (smoked if available)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) with a middle rack
Toast bread slices until golden brown on both sides
Layer 1 oz turkey per slice, spreading 1 tbsp Mornay sauce over
Sprinkle 1 tbsp parmesan per slider, dust with 1/4 tsp paprika, and season with salt
Bake 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden
Let rest 5 minutes before serving
Notes
Use day-old bread for crispiness
Chill Mornay sauce 10 minutes before spreading
Optional broil for last 1-2 minutes for extra golden top
Vegan option: use nutritional yeast instead of parmesan
