Description

Ingredients

2 lb chicken thighs
1/2 cup BBQ sauce
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1/4 cup honey or maple syrup


Instructions

Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C)
Pat chicken dry with paper towels
Mix garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl
Coat chicken with seasoning, pressing into skin
Heat oil in ovenproof skillet, sear chicken skin-side for 4-5 minutes
Brush BBQ sauce onto chicken, return to skillet
Arrange chicken in single layer on baking pan
Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway
Pour remaining sauce into dish and spoon over chicken
Mix honey/maple with reserved sauce
Baste final minutes for glossy finish
