Description
Crispy, healthy summer squash chips made in an air fryer with olive oil and salt. Perfect for a low-calorie snack or side dish with a golden-brown, crunchy texture.
Ingredients
4 cups thinly sliced summer squash (zucchini or yellow squash)
4 tablespoons olive oil (or avocado oil)
1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
Instructions
Wash and pat dry summer squash. Use a mandoline or sharp knife to slice uniformly (1/8 inch thickness)
Toss squash in olive oil until lightly coated. Sprinkle salt evenly
Preheat air fryer to 375°F. Spread squash in a single layer
Air fry 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway for even browning
Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before serving
Notes
Preheat air fryer 3 minutes before use
Use non-stick spray to prevent sticking
Flip chips midway for even crisping
Avoid overcrowding; batch cook if needed
Substitute salt with herbes de Provence for herbal flavor
Option: Add paprika or garlic powder for extra flavor
