Description
Crispy wonton cups filled with spicy buffalo chicken and melted cheese, air-fried to perfection. These hands-on appetizers are halal-friendly, easy to make, and perfect for parties or quick snacks with a balance of crunch and heat.
Ingredients
Wonton Wrappers 12 sheets
Shredded Cooked Chicken 2 cups
Buffalo Sauce 1/2 cup
Shredded Cheddar Cheese 1 cup
Butter (Optional) 1 tbsp
Instructions
Halve wonton wrappers vertically to form triangles.
Brush edges with water to seal into cups.
Mix buffalo sauce, chicken, and cheese in a bowl.
Fill each cup with 1 tbsp chicken mixture. Gently press seams closed.
Place cups upright in a greased air fryer basket. Preheat air fryer to 370°F (185°C) for 3 minutes.
Insert cups and air fry 8–10 minutes until golden brown. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
Use gluten-free wonton wrappers if preferred.
Substitute cheddar with gouda or mozzarella for melting flexibility.
Brush butter or non-dairy alternative over cups for a glossy finish. Avoid overfilling to prevent leakage.
Layer 2 wonton wrappers for sturdier cups. Use a non-alcoholic buffalo sauce.
